82ASK launches free Festival Helper Service
The clever people at 82ASK have launched a service to help out poor bewildered and befuddled festivalgoers. If you're not familiar with the service, 82ASK claims to be able to answer any question you care to throw at them (and if your question's weird enough, maybe it'll end up in their next book) - you text your query to 82275, their "Texperts™" stroke their beards and scratch their heads (i.e., search the internet, one would imagine), and they get back to you with the answer.
Now they've launched a Festival Helper Service - and it's (almost) completely free for new users. If you happen to be at one of the "major" festivals (classed by 82ASK as Creamfields, Global Gathering, The Big Chill, T in The Park, Glastonbury and The Reading and Leeds Festivals), you're entitled to three free questions.
This means you can ask them where the nearest train station is, what the weather forecast looks like, what the name of the band is you're watching, whether the lead singer's married... They may not be able to answer why it is that strange individual with the drool keeps staring at you, but they'll sure as heckfire be able to tell you where the nearest cop shop is.
Text HELPME during the festival followed by your question to 82275 to ask your free questions - after you've used up your free quota, the price is £1 per ask. Which may be more than texting your mate, but will he be up and with it at 4am to explain why you shouldn't drink from a puddle?
