Musical Differences - The Automatic, Nine Inch Nails and Placebo

It seems this year’s festival season may have taken its toll on some of our favourite headline acts as autumn reveals a number of band reorganisations and musical differences.
Monsters of last year's festivals, The Automatic, recently announced the departure of their keyboard player, Alex Pennie - the jumpy, shouty one - having found this last year “increasingly unenjoyable and growing apart from the rest of the band” [via theautomatic.co.uk].
After an amazing set at the Carling Reading festival and headlining the Finnish Ankkarock festival earlier this year, Nine Inch Nails frontman, Trent Reznor, has also announced that the band's current touring line-up have played their last show together. Despite years perfecting their performance, Trent says he wants to “whittle things down” in pursuit of something more challenging and less stale [via Kerrang!].
Now, after a failed Fflam, October brings with it the sad news that Steve Hewitt, Placebo’s drummer of eleven years, has parted company with the band due to “personal and musical differences”. But fear not - Placebo’s official website assures fans that, despite the breakdown of their musical marriage, the split is amicable. Ahhh, that's nice.

Steve Hewitt did not leave Placebo, he was fired by management for no real reason. His turncoat bandmates didnt even have the integrity to fire him themselves. What cowards!Im a longtime fan and as far as I am concerned, Placebo no longer exist.
