Also featuring are the brilliant Iron and Wine and Adem.

In-Tents Questioning: The Nightmare Before Christmas (ATP) - Vicky Walker

vickyandjulian.jpgEvery time we feature someone on these pages, we like to says things like "by day, Bob is a bank worker, but by night..." and all that. However, our most recent interviewee is something of a mystery, seemingly leading a decadent rock 'n' roll life 24 hours a day. Sickeningly, she's always the belle of the ball, leaving the rest of us looking like dead-beats.

So who is this fair maiden of trash? Well, she goes by the name of Vicky Walker and recently she attended the brilliant All Tomorrows Parties: The Nightmare Before Christmas. Here are her views on the festival.

Portishead announce line-up for ATP Nightmare Before Christmas

portishead___.jpgEvery time Portishead do something, it always reminds you that it's been far too long since you last heard from them. Thankfully, our most recent wait is to bear incredible fruit. Their curating of All Tomorrow's Parties (Nightmare Before Christmas), a three day event happening at Minehead from December 7- 9, has one of the finest line-ups ever seen!

Portishead and Aphex Twin are both due to play two shows at the festival, and have both opted to play the Centre Stage, as the press release states "so they could perform their sets with no restrictive sound issues due to the bottom end frequencies." In addition to the treat of a Portishead live set, you get Wu Tang's GZA performing Liquid Swordz, the wonderful A Hawk and a Hacksaw creating their unique racket, as well as Damo Suzuki (of Can fame), John Cooper Clark, Madlib and Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth!

The UK has arguably the most vibrant festival scene in the world, and it is time to honour those who made this year a little more special. Have your say and set the standard for next year by voting now at www.festivalawards.com. As well as making a difference to the festival scene, your vote will also qualify you for an exclusive money-can’t-buy prize draw to win a pair of tickets to every winning festival in 2008! You can vote on a whole host of things, from Best Act to Best New Festival... and even Best Toilets. Sadly, we aren't in that category...

Jerry Sadowitz to play ATP Nightmare Before Christmas

jerrysadowitz.jpgCult magician, comedian and generally the rudest man on the planet, Jerry Sadowitz is the latest act to join the bill at All Tomorrow's Parties Nightmare Before Christmas, which will be held at Butlin's in Minehead, Somerset from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th December.

He will join a line-up featuring performances from Aphex Twin, Julian Cope, Black Mountain, Sparklehorse, Oneida, Seasick Steve, Team Brick, Crippled Black Phoenix, and Fuzz Against Junk. This is of course in addition to Portishead who will not only curate the event but also play exclusively at it.
