The Donnas are the female Darkness (in a good way)

The Donnas have always been ROCK, but up until now they never really looked it (check out the video to their fantastic "Take It Off" here). This year sees the release of their new album, and the title gives a hint at the direction they're headed - "Bitchin'".

The video for "Don't Wait Up For Me", below, sees them ratchet up the 80s rock references - this could almost have been styled by someone working with Heart or Pat Benatar. I really like the song - does the cheesy video obscure it a little though? Ah, who cares.

The Donnas play Glasgow and Nottingham in November - let's hope they add to those measly dates soonish...
