What do you think of Radiohead's In Rainbows?
So. You've had all week with Radiohead's In Rainbows album. Personally, I thought it was a big disappointment. It's lazy and unfocused. By the same token, I'm by no means a Radiohead fan, so dismiss at will.
Releasing your album for just shy of 50p is an incredibly clever marketing tool, leaving many journalists flapping as they didn't get promotional copies. They got the LP at the same time as the fans. This of course has caused quite a stir. So, what do you think of In Rainbows? Is it Radiohead's best work? Is it a let down? Leave us a comment and tell us what you think!

I think your way off. It's awesome. Poppy, rocks out, and great beats. Another great evolution of Radiohead. A band that is constantly changing and exploring new sounds, influences, and themselves. You should have followed Radiohead from the beginning. Go back and start with Pablo Honey and listen to them all in succession. You will see how they evolve and continue to set the bar.

I think it is a very focused record. It has a consistent timbre and feel throughout the record, just as their others did. It wasnt as drastic a change as I expected, but it is still a change nonetheless. Radihead continues to evolve and experiment and make great records in the process.

Who, other than Thom, is taking us somewhere we may want to be? Who else is leading rather than following? Whether a fan or not, this is of a high quality, with focus and intent.

I love this album.. not because I'm a Radiohead fan already but because it is exactly a sound I had always wanted to hear them do. It is soft yet it screams at you. You can let it drive a steak thru your heart while you grasp on for more. It is genius and I wish that the music I make could be half as good. Good job boys you deserve a big pay day for this album!!!!!!

Lazy and unfocused? Are you serious? "In Rainbows" is just the opposite: tight, disciplined and sophisticated. The depth of sound and emotions on this album are mind blowing.

I think In Rainbows is really very good, good enough to reaffirm my faith in this band - one of my favorites - which was severely tested by the trio of Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief. I feel like we've been carrying Thom and the boys since about OK Computer. Wrote a little piece on it here:
