Are the Jackson 5 going to reform in 2008?

jermaine.gifWhen I had them to myself, I didn't want them around. But now, I want them back... yes I do naaah... (When you've quite finished - Ed) and thankfully, I've been given a second chance! They've made it easy as 1,2,3 for me... (okay, that's really enough now - Annoyed Ed) as the Jackson 5 are the latest ghost of pop past to get on the comeback trail.

Jermaine Jackson told BBC 6 Music that the Motown outfit have been in discussions to reform for a string of shows "sometime in 2008". The big / dubious news is that "Michael will be involved."

"We feel we have to do it one more time. We owe that to the fans and to the public," says Jermaine. If the tour goes ahead, it will be the first time Marlon, Tito, Jermaine, Jackie and Michael have been on the road since they completed their moneyspinning Victory tour in 1984.

Leonard Rowe, who promoted Michael Jackson's Off The Wall tour, met with the group in April to discuss their big comeback. “His brothers are ready, Janet is ready. But the motor of that car that makes the car run, isn’t just yet." Come on! That's no way to talk from a band stabled in Motor City!
