Hats off to Noel Fielding, Julian Barratt and everyone at Mighty Boosh Marketing HQ. Fans of the once-cult comedy creation, The Mighty Boosh, may be excited by the news that 2008 will see the first ever Boosh-backed festival. And with a celebrity-friend checklist the length of an orang-utan's arm, frankly, who can blame them?

After this year's mass of publicity and gargantuan growth of fan-base, the Booshers have already added 15 extra dates to their tour of over 40 shows later this year. Now, with an NME award for Best TV Show tucked under their utilitarian-beige and sequinned belts, Barratt and Fielding plan to take the next logical step with a 30,000 capacity open air event, bringing together their music and comedy friends for a day of dressing up in the country.

The festival will take place at The Hop Farm in Kent, Saturday 5th July 08, with10,000 tickets going on sale first thing this Saturday and the remaining 20,000 released on Monday. If you fancy a daylong game of "Who can spot the most Old Gregg costumes", tickets will be on sale here...
