Joseph Kahn directs video for new Ladytron single, "Ghosts"

ladytron-ghosts.gifIf you don't know who Joseph Kahn is, he's one of the foremost music video directors in music video-land. He's directed videos for pretty much every notable pop star over the last decade or so, from U2 to Eminem to Janet Jackson to, um, Shayne Ward. Now those frosty electroids Ladytron have got him to do the viddy for their new single.

"Ghosts" isn't a huge departure from the usual Ladytron "product", but the video does say "yes, we have a decent budget for this particular song". It sees the ladies and the trons standing around in a desert with rabbits sniffing their ankles and cars driving along roads and wolves and dolls and then loads more rabbits and then a man looking through a tyre and then shitloads more rabbits.

On a side note, the closing gong effect on the single sounds a bit like the noise my phone makes when I receive a text message, which caused me two whole seconds of confusion. Just something to bear in mind, if you have the same text notification setting as me.
