Glenda Young is the editor of Corrieblog - literally the greatest Coronation Street blog on this pitiful little planet of ours. She went to O2 Wireless at Hyde Park on the Sunday, which featured The Cribs, Kaiser Chiefs and Editors (pictured). On her return she underwent some rigorous interrogation. The results you will see below.

Glenda Young. I live in London but am from Sunderland.

2. Which festival have you recently attended?

O2 Wireless Festival London, Sunday 17th June.

3. Have you attended this festival before?

No.

4. Which act gave the best performance, and why?

Editors. They rocked.

5. If you could have promoted one act on the bill to headline status, who would you choose? Why?

Ripchord. Infectious, enthusiastic young band with great songs.

6. Did your opinion of any acts change radically as a result of their performance?

Kaiser Chiefs are better than I expected.

7. Nicest surprise / biggest disappointment (music-related or otherwise)?

Ripchord were a nice surprise to stumble across.

8. Any high-quality onstage banter you feel deserves highlighting?

The Cribs railed against corporate sponsorship of indie music while at a heavily-branded gig. Nice sentiment - but didn’t quite work.

9. Please mark the following elements out of 10, with any comments:

General facilities:

Toilets – weren’t horrible but weren’t nice.

Crowd / audience:

7 out of 10. Too many fashion victims, but that’s London for you.

Food and drink value for money:

It was festival food, 'nuff said. Have got a dicky tummy today.

10. Finally – anything else you’d like to mention?

Probably won’t be in a hurry to rush back to O2 unless there’s a band I really love and want to see. I only went to this one to see Editors, who were well worth spending the money on the ticket for the whole day. Too much branding, too much corporate sponsorship, not enough laidback happiness.
